After performing pooja on the Dwarkadhishji Mukhya Mandir, PM Modi took a stroll on the sealink and waved to fishermen and ferry-boat operators on board their boats.
The sealink, Gujarat’s first, has been constructed by the nationwide freeway division within the Roads and Buildings Division of Gujarat. The bridge was constructed as a part of Nationwide Freeway 51 and funded by the Centre.
The 4.77-km-long sealink has a 2.32 km (2,320 metres) bridge part, together with a 900 metres (0.90 km) cable-stayed part, the longest in India. The two.32-km-long superstructure of the bridge is supported by 32 piers, together with two towers rising 18 metres above the ocean.
