GUATEMALA CITY (Reuters) – Guatemalan President Bernardo Arevalo on Sunday dismissed his minister of atmosphere and pure sources, fewer than 100 days into his time period, to “keep away from any doubt” over the integrity of his authorities, an announcement stated.
Arevalo gained the presidential elections in August by a landslide after a marketing campaign that centered closely on rising transparency and combating rampant corruption in Central America’s most populous nation.
