New Delhi: The Indian authorities on Thursday expressed concern over stories that some Indians residing in Canada had been receiving “extortion calls”.
“Individuals getting extortion calls, particularly Indian nationals, is a matter of significant concern,” Ministry of Exterior Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal mentioned answering queries on the common media briefing, reported ANI.

“We (India and Canada) have a number of points to debate. There was a problem a few temple which was attacked. The Canadian police then thereafter went into the investigation of the temple premises, and the one that had intruded it later turned out, and so they issued a press release that the particular person was of unsound thoughts. So there are these points that hold occurring…,” Jaiswal mentioned.
