BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. — A small airplane crash-landed right into a automotive Tuesday morning on a busy Twin Cities freeway, injuring the pilot and the motive force.
Brooklyn Park police say it occurred at about 10:32 a.m. within the southbound lanes of Freeway 81 (Bottineau Boulevard) close to West Broadway Avenue.
Police say the airplane was approaching Crystal Airport and misplaced energy mid-air. The pilot then made an emergency touchdown about 2.5 miles northwest of the airport.

The airplane clipped a number of energy traces on its means down earlier than colliding with a automotive. The driving force and pilot suffered minor accidents.

WCCO confirmed the airplane, a Piper Cherokee, is owned by Thunderbird Aviation.
