Two individuals have been hospitalised after a automobile crashed right into a float collaborating in a St Patrick’s Day parade in Co Laois on Sunday.
The collision occurred on the Principal Road in Stradbally at about 11.30am.
A younger man was driving a classic tractor and a lady in her 30s was being pulled in a trailer behind it when a automobile crashed into them. Locals ran to their help.
The parade was stopped instantly after the collision.
Gardaí confirmed they’re investigating.
“A girl in her 30s and a male youth have been taken to Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise with non-life-threatening accidents,” gardaí stated.
