Two members of the Defence Forces had been taken to hospital following an incident throughout a routine parachute show group train on Thursday.
The incident occurred because the parachute show group members had been touchdown by parachute on the Defence Forces bases on the Curragh, Co Kildare.
In an announcement on Thursday night time the Defence Forces press workplace confirmed “two personnel sustained accidents on touchdown throughout routine parachute show group coaching at the moment within the Defence Forces Coaching Centre”.
“The accidents sustained had been non-life threatening and each personnel had been transferred to hospital by Defence Forces Ambulance and are in a steady situation”.
The parachute show group includes of members from all ranks and companies of the Defence Forces, everlasting and reserve.
An investigation into the incident has begun according to Defence Forces operational procedures.
